On June 1st and 2nd, a Mental Health First Aid course was held at the Henty Community Club. This was a free accredited course (worth over $350pp), organised and hosted by Career Planning and Resumes with Simone, and made possible by full funding from Murrumbidgee PHN’s Murrumbidgee Community Grants.
The 22 attendees learnt how to identify, assist and support those in the community who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
There are increasing demands for workplaces to have employees with this training. Their certificate is posted on the WHS notices board alongside physical first aiders.
